In compliance of Section 5(1) of Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2017 daetd 26th September, 2017 issued in supersession of the Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2010; the Government of Rajasthan has notified the Rajasthan State Wetland Authority (RSWA) vide order no. F 6(3)/2017/ Part dated 27.11.2019.
It is a statutory authority meant to function as State’s nodal agency to implement the task of policy development, regulatory frame works, integrated management, planning, implementation of action plans, capacity building, research, networking, communication, awareness, creation and raising of funds for wetland management.
As per the decision taken in the meeting of State Wetland Authority dated 24.02.2020, the said Notification stands revised as under :-
