A prior environmental clearance must be obtained either from the Ministry of Environment , Forest & Climate Change(MoEF&CC), New Delhi or the State (or Union Territory) Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Rajasthan constituted by the Central Government under the Environment Protection Act, 1986. All projects being covered under this notification have been divided into Category A and B based on their potential environmental impacts. For list of projects and activities covered under the EIA notification dated 14th September, 2006 and its subsequent amendments, click below. If EC is applicable, the industry requires environmental clearance from the competent authority i.e. MoEF & CC, New Delhi or SEIAA, Rajasthan depending upon the category of project, otherwise the industry can apply for consent to establish(CTE) directly from the State Board.
