1. Rajasthan State Biodiversity Board, in its third meeting, approved the rates of CAG empanelled Chartered Accountant firm M/s S. Singhal & Co., Gordhan Enclave, II Floor, 4-B, Yudhisthir Marg, C-Scheme, Jaipur, for annual audit of accounts and for submission of annual tax returns of the Board to Income Tax Department. Annual audit of financial year 2012-13 was done by this approved firm. Copy of the Audit Report is enclosed.

1. We have examined the Balance Sheet as at 31st March, 2013 and the Income & Expenditure Account of RAJASTHAN STATE BIODIVERSITY BOARD, JAIPUR for the year ended on that date.
2. We certify that Balance Sheet and Income & Expenditure are in agreement with the books of account maintained at the office at JAIPUR.

NOTES ON ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31-03-2013S
1. The Board/Trust has been recently created by Government of Rajasthan to save the Biodiversity so as to maintain ecological balance.
2. The Accounting Method followed is on cash basis.
3. No depreciation has been provided.
4. Financial Statements have been prepared under Historical Cost Convention & accrual basis.
5. There are no Contingent Liabilities.
6. There are no income & Expenditure in foreign Currency.
7. Expenses of Board are met from Grants from State Government.
8. Board has made a payment of Rs. 20 lacs for development of Bio Diversity Park in Gamdhar area of Udaipur vide sanction dated 05-02-2013 which has been accounted for as expenses.
9. Board has made a payment of Rs. 48.90 lacs for raising of plants at various places in Rajasthan with other programs for mass awareness. The same has been accounted for as expenses in three different heads of Raising of plants Rs. 25 lacs, Training, visits and workshop expenses Rs. 20 lacs and other office expenses Rs. 3.90 lacs.
